PS: Union gewann das Derby mit 1:0, die dritte Halbzeit wurde im Volkspark Friedrichshain ausgetragen und von der Polizei beendet

Thank you James, an interesting sebujct that has obviously been deemed impolite conversation for the table by the good guys. History is written by the victors. At least for the masses. Information is certainly out there, but finding it and piecing it together is not always easy. Particularly on embarrassing sebujcts to national pride, and the image of just victor. When part of the truth goes unknown and untold, can we really say we know the truth of something?

Watched these too and am shocked at some of the results but in hindsight they are not too surprising:I was happiest – and most shocked - with Evergreen Mak's win (and I agree on Ti Lung - I was like WTF!!!). Pierre Ngo was great in No Regrets as was Raymond Wong so he had some tough competition. Natalie Tong was expected. She was tearful and rightfully so and I thought she gave a personal, touching speech. I was also quite OK with Fala’s win, although I was personally shocked. I thought Kara Hui was going to take it. Anyway, Fala looked very pretty as well and I thought she was eloquent in her acceptance speech, and genuinely humble and touched (for once). I think she’s growing on me. I was also surprised to see she and Steven hugging like best buddies when her name was announced – back-slapping, big grins, the whole bit. It seems like they are very good friends (probably from filming a few series together). I think it’s cute and nice how happy Steven was for her when she won. And yes, Steven will have his day.I was very happy with Raymond Wong’s win too, and I thought his speech was great. Cute that he announced his wife’s pregnancy there.I predicted that Sheren and Wayne were going to win again, because there would be a riot if Moses and Charmaine beat them in that garbage series Can’t Buy Me Love. No comparison there. Wayne looked great and yes, Sheren looked like a female version of Dracula. Unfortunately Charmaine was expected for Most Favourite Female Character. Not much competition there in terms of TVB seniority and yes her dress was awful. Even as a Ray fan I was not happy to see him win Most Favourite Male Character for TMOL. His character in there is a coward in the series and I will say right here he only won because of his fan base. Case of dividing the pork. He like Steven Ma will have his moment (i.e. Best Actor / Best Supporting Actor) soon enough.Most handsome / well-dressed, definitely Wayne and Ray. Ron Ng looked pretty decent too. I liked Michelle Yim, Susanna Kwan, and Fala Chen for the girls. Kate Tsui looked glamorous, and Linda Chung looked lovely.

Oh, to watch the senior executives’ faces when that happened!• Johnny To and Dodo Cheng trying to fill up the time by asking how the other was doing, etc.• Dominic Lam giving his fake acceptance speech while sitting down.• Moses Chan saying that he had no chance at the Best Actor award right after winning the Most Professional Artist award. I thought these were great moments.I also though the hosts did a better job this year with the questioning on how much confidence the artists had in winning, etc. The artists weren’t as eloquent as last year, although some were OK. I think TVB once again tried to save itself from recent public humiliation by spotlighting some ke-le-fes these days (Evergreen’s win, for example, and repeating Sheren and Wayne’s wins). It’s too bad they still need to divide the pork among the Charmaines and Moses of the world, but I’m looking forward to a new generation of fa dans and young scholars who have proven they have quite the acting chops e.g. Nancy Wu, Selena Li, Steven Ma, etc.

You can see Charmaine turning to Sheren and congratulating her when all were still inside the small windows separately. You can see Charmaine turning to the side and said 'gong hei sai', while at the same time, Linda leaned to the front and said something. When the camera zoomed back in to the big scene, you can see Charmaine removing her arm from Sheren's right shoulder (meaning that, before that, her arm was around Sheren's shoulder), while Linda was moving back to an upright position (meaning, earlier she was leaning towards Sheren). The other actresses started clapping, and the camera focus on Sheren. Among the cheering sound, I distinctly heard female voices. But, when the camera zoomed out, the girls/women were only clapping (maybe they finished cheering liao). Then, the cheerleaders at the last 2 rolls started standing up while Sheren took her bow. Nancy Wu clapped the most enthusiastically. She put her hands up when clapping and continued clapping like this while Sheren walked to the podium.Maybe you expected too much. Maybe you want tearful hugging or sometime. I think Fala would have hugged Sheren if she was since Sheren hugged her when she win her award. But, she was not there at the time of the announced. The women clapped like this for all the winners. Their clapping were normal, neither unenthusiastic or over-enthusiastic. The women's section were not like the rowdy men's section.

Steven and Fala hugging was indeed really nice...reminded me of Charmaine's win in 2006 and both Bobby and Joe Ma gave her a big hug. These moments are just really cool to watch.I'm happy with the overall results (really wished Kara won Best Supporting though) and especially Charmaine's win for Favorite Character (and not Best Actress). I mean her princess role is so likeable and so popular..she gave one of the best performances in CBML too. Obvious win but very deserving.I thought the only reason Sheren and Wayne won AGAIN was simply because there were no other truly outstanding performances this year...but they both have done better in the past.PS. If people are negative..they will try to find every little fault. No female artists gave Sheren a hug...big deal. I don't remember any female artists giving Charmaine a hug when she won. Charmaine was definitely full of smiles that night, including when Sheren won (looking pissed? lol). I have seen snap shots to confirm that. Everyone happily clapped, Tavia even seems overly excited.

Hmm, I'm wondering whether I almost watched a 'different' version than you guys b/c I didn't watch it live and I didn't notice some other things you guys did, such as Dodo checking the Best Actor award after Sandra Ng. I don't remember seeing Charm congratulate Sheren at all either(although to be fair neither did any of the other actresses) and I will agree that she looked very smiley that night. Maybe I was imagining Charm looking pissed? I remember distinctly she looked peeved at one point in the show, although I will need to rewatch to see if it was during Sheren's win if all you guys didn't notice that. I am sure in the version I watched no one in the female section bothered to congratulate Sheren on her win. In fact, it looked like a bit of quiet and then unenthusiastic clapping... which is why I'm confused re: Kidd's comments about standing ovation and cheering among the females???Kidd, yes I was mistaken - bundled together Sandra's comments about Felix Wong re: totally very best and the producer (?) Mr. Wong on comments about Ray.My vote for best acceptance speech goes to Natalie. Fala's was good too.

a very well deserving win for Wayne and Sheren and Evergreen!Natalie's speech was touching but the award? Not so much. Fala should've won for something else. OMG! I was hoping for Kara or Nancy! Raymond..boy raymond. The boy and his big fan base. heh. I think chamr deserves her win this year. Her character was overall likable. JJ, I agree, I LOVE the hugs Bobby and Joe Ma gave Charm in 2006! If you rewatch, Steven Ma was clapping excitedly for her too. I love these hugging moments. Fala & Steven = ADORABLE to the max!! What I'm more surprised is at Wayne! C'mon! Sheren is your partner! No hug? :(Agreed wit Funn, best dressed is Kara. Most of the leading ladies have nice dresses, well, except for Charm. what was she thinking? And Bridget, you have to be fair here. She was happy for Sheren. Your response could lead to misunderstanding between fans.
